Waterloo Sports Medicine at RIM Park History
In 2001, the City of Waterloo moved ahead with its plans to build RIM Park; a new multi-sports complex in the northeast end of town. Waterloo Sports Medicine Centre, with a strong contribution from Dr. Robert Lee, successfully won the bid to open a physiotherapy clinic with RIM Park's main building (Manulife Financial Sportsplex and Healthy Living).

On November 3, 2001 WSM at RIM Park was officially launched and ready for business.
Starting with one full-time physiotherapist, Mike Clermont, WSM at RIM Park began offering high quality physiotherapy service that is associated with the Waterloo Sports Medicine name. As the demands for more physiotherapy grew, over the course of the next few years, the clinic hired two more physiotherapists.
In 2013, WSM at RIM Park underwent a major facelift, taking over the empty suite next to its current location, expanding the square footage of the clinic to better accommodate the increasing number of clients. WSM at RIM Park now offers both physiotherapy and massage therapy.
